Historical Organs from the South Friuli

Rule

1 - Organists from every nation and with no age limit can take part in the competition.

2 - The entry form, on unstamped paper, according to the attached form, has to be sent to the secretary’s office of the competition at the Municipio di Muzzana del Turgnano, via Roma,22 - 33055 MUZZANA DEL TURGNANO (UD), by 25 Agost 2007 (date as postmark).

Together with the entry form the competitors have to send:

• the statement of payment of the entrance fee;
• the Curriculum about studies and courses attended.

3 - The entrance fee – no repayable – is of 60,00 Euro payable through one of the following methods:

• postal current account N. 15051337, in the name of
  Comune di Muzzana del Turgnano (UD), servizio tesoreria,
  stating the reason: quota iscrizione I° Concorso
  Organistico Internazionale;
• money transfer, in the name of Comune di Muzzana del
  Turgnano (I Concorso Organistico Internazionale – C.C.
  000045677420 – COD. CIN I – A.B.I. 05336 – C.A.B. 63990
  – Banca Popolare Friuladria – Muzzana del Turgnano –
  Udine – Italy.

4 - The organizing committee, in its opinion, can cancel the competition if there should be few competitors, to these competitors the entrance fee will be given back.

5 - Travelling and accommodation expenses are at the competitors’ expense.

6 - The competition judging committee is made up of:

• Maestro (M°) Luigi Ferdinando TAGLIAVINI,
• M° Wijnand VAN DE POL,
• M°Andrea MARCON,
• M° David TITTERINGTON,
• M° Lino FALILONE.

7 - The judgement of the jury is unquestionable and unappealable. The committee decides at the end of each performance. The judgement of each performance is expressed in arithmetical score as average of the marks given by each member of the committee.

8 - At the beginning of each audition the competitors will have
to show their identity papers.

9 - The competition will be organized as follows:

• first stage: qualifying round: Muzzana del T. Organ Nacchini;
• second stage: semifinal: Marano L., Organ Dacci;
• final stage: Palazzolo dello St., Organ Zanin and Muzzana del T., Organ Nacchini.

All stage are public. Each stage of the competition will take place preserving the competitor’s anonymity.
The date of arrival and the timetables of each part will be stated and communicated the days after the enrolment.

10 - The following PRIZES will be given:

• 1st placed: euro 2.500,00
• 2nd placed: euro 1.500,00
• 3rd placed: euro 1.000,00

The first placed will have the opportunity to play 2/3 concerts in Italy and abroad, one of which during the Amerino Organ May (Associazione Ameria Umbra – 2007).
The second and the third placed will have the opportunity to play a concert in Italy.

Moreover it is expected to come out with a CD with the recordings of the performances of the first and second placed.

11 - The jury can reserve the right not to award the prizes.

12 - In case of shooting (radio, TV) or recordings, the competitors have no right to any claims towards the organizing committee.

13 - Each competitor will provide for his own recording (all costs will be paid by the competitor) or to use recording find out by the organization.

14 - The organizers deny liability for any damage and/or accident occurred to competitors, other people or things during the period of the competition or with regard to the programme quoted above.

15 - The presence at the competition entails the unqualified acceptance of these rules. For any dispute the Italian text shall be deemed authentic.

16 - The organists will have the opportunity to play the Organs the days before the competition and in accordance with the availability of the churches.
